18 November, 1738 Jacob Moore 250 Beaufort.  At a council at Newbern the 28th February 1739, Jacob Moore 640, Beaufort.
At a Council held at Edenton, 24th March 1740/41:  Moses Moore 200 Beaufort.

      Notes for HENRY MOORE:

      Henry Moore's activities in the Revolutionary War are documented by the DAR Record Number 379620.  Henry Moore was a Patroller in 7/1/1775 to search suspects for firearms ect. to act in Captain Daniels Company According to Proceedings of Safety Committee of Pitt County NC.   Colonial Records Of NC by Wm. L Saunders. Vol. 10, p. 63.

      Confirming family member information is contained in "Pitt County Chronicles" entry No. 945 "JOHN SAMUEL MOORE FAMILY" by Hazel M. Moore and Entry No. 759 "DAVID HENRY JAMES" pp. 413.

      Henry's wife is reported to be "Mary" as recorded in the "INDEX OF NORTH CAROLINA ANCESTORS VOL II" Page 92.

      Henry Moore is listed in "NORTH CAROLINA TAXPAYERS 1701- 1786" as living in Pitt County in 1763, 1764, 1765.

      According to King in "SKETCHES OF PITT COUNTY" In early 1866 Enoch Moore (most likely the son of Benjamine Moore and brother of Randolph Moore who was Carney's son-in-law) was in the Carney home during two of the raids by Federals in the attempt to capture his Riddick Carney.

      Listed in the 1850 census are a group of Moores living in Pitt County at Parkers the entries are on consecutive or or nearly consecutive line numbers which indicate they were living together or in adjacent  properties. I do not have any additional information on any of these Moores.

      Willis E. Moore was single and was living with his Sister Fannie L. Moore according to the 1900 census.  Willis was recorded to 36 years old and his birth date was Sept. 1863. In addition another brother was also living with her His Name is unreadable on the microfilm his occupation appears to be a bridge roofer and is reported to be age 40.

      Fannie L. Moore was listed as a widow it is interesting that her last name is Moore Which indicates she married a Moore. Her Birth date is listed as Nov 1849 and her age is given as 50 years.
