1. COLONEL JOHN5 HARDEE was born April 07, 1707, and died December 12, 1784.  He married SUSSANAH TYSON HARDEE .  She was born in Pitt County, N.C..

She married GENERAL JOHN SIMPSON3 Abt. 17534.  He was born March 08, 1727/28 in Boston, Mass.4, and died March 01, 1798 in Pitt County,  NC4.

      Notes for GENERAL JOHN SIMPSON:

      John Simpson was a General in the Colonial Militia, a civic leader serving as a Representative to The Lower House Of The General Assembly for Beaufort County in 1760, as the Chairman of the Committee of Safety for Pitt County, as Registrar of Deeds, as well as a Senator in the Legislature.  He was born in Boston, MA. settled early in life in Pitt County.  His home was located on what is now route 264 just out side of Greenville and east of Hardee's Run and Book Valley Golf Club.  His home was within a few miles of his father in law John Hardee. He married Elizabeth Hardee  about 1753 and they had nine children.

    • 5. SARAH SIMPSON7 BRICKELL (ELIZABETH6 HARDEE, JOHN5, NOBLE WORTHINGTON4 HARDY, ANTHONY3, NOBLE WORTHINGTON2, ANTHONY1) was born November 26, 1778, and died July 17, 1852.  She married DR. JOSEPH JOHN BRICKELL.  He was born December 23, 1769, and died February 27, 1811.

ELIZABETH HARDEE SIMPSON8 EASTON (ANN7 SIMPSON, ELIZABETH6 HARDEE, JOHN5, NOBLE WORTHINGTON4 HARDY, ANTHONY3, NOBLE WORTHINGTON2, ANTHONY1) was born November 30, 1789 in Chatteam Plantation, Pitt Co., N.C., and died October 20, 1844 in Greenville, NC.  She married JOHN KENNEDY5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15,16,17 February 25, 1808, son of JOHN KENNEDY and APSLEY SPIER.  He was born November 30, 1765, and died July 14, 1826 in Creekmere Plantation , Beaufort County, NC18.

       Children of ELIZABETH EASTON and JOHN KENNEDY are:

He married (2) MARTHA ELIZABETH FORBES32 January 09, 1870 in Home of Arthur Forbes32, daughter of ALFRED FORBES and MARTHA EVANS.  She was born April 25, 1834 in Pitt County, NC, and died March 03, 1903 in Greenville ,NC33.

      Notes for WARREN EASON KENNEDY:

      Warren, at his death, was survived by five children from his first marriage to Harriette Ann Lanier and two children by his second wife Martha Elizabeth Forbes.

      Warren was buried at Union town, Ala.  Martha Elizabeth Forbes returned to Pitt County, NC and lived a few miles west of Greenville in the vicinity of the Forbes property located on the NC Highway 43 to Rocky Mt. NC.

    • He is buried in the Kennedy Plot in Cherry Hill Cemetery, Greenville, NC.  He Died on  June 20, 1961.
